The Muslim Insurgency – Exposed
Published on April 02, 2006
A rendering documentary was aired at PBS about the insurgents in
Iraq . It investigates their attacks onU.S. troops and what their motives are. The insurgents interviewed repeatedly mentions “Allahu Akbar” - “In the name of God” - “God is Great”. One of the insurgent was in fact reading the Quran while preparing to fight. Interestingly, the documentary does not illustrate why they are resisting, and what their true believes are. Below is a link to the site. The entire documentary can be viewed online.

So is there a link between the Quran and the insurgents? What are the insurgents reading from this holy book? What could possibly be written in the Quran that millions of Muslims believe in? Are their phrases that makes killing justifiable? Are there sentences that promise to reward these believers in life after death? Yes there are and here’s a few :
8:7 - And Allah willed that He should cause the Truth to triumph by His words, and cut the root of the disbelievers
4:76 - Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the Shaitan
8:12 -...So make those who believe stand firm. I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite the necks and smite of them each finger
8:13 -…That is because they opposed Allah… Allah is severe in punishment
8:14-… That (is the award), so taste it, and (know) that for disbelievers is the torment of the Fire
8:39 – And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah. But if they cease, then lo! Allah is Seer of what they do
9:5 – Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush…
These phrases will not be surprising to the critiquing readers of the Quran. Though, it would be deplorable to the recreational readers and people all over the world. What the insurgents are doing is right, because Iraq is an Islamic country and Islam allows war in self-defense (Quran 22:39), to defend Islam, to protect those from their homes by force (Quran 22:40), and to protect the innocent who are being oppressed (Quran 4:75).
Muslim advocates fall short to reveal these phrases, hiding the fact that earlier conciliatory passages have been rendered null and void for over 1300 years. When skeptic readers like us discover it ourselves, they complain we misinterpret such writings or misapply their impact. I say this is all crap and diplomacy. The Mullahs and the higher ups work as diplomats to represent Islam. Their work is to carefully practice the art to accomplish the good sides of Islam, and charily tip toe the bad sides away from the media. They cannot symbolize Islam in its truest form, nor can they support the modern generations of Muslims that critiques Islam. They are diplomats.
For the occasional readers of the Quran, if we are to be true Muslims, Bin Laden should be our role model and we are ought to join one of his Al Qaeda groups. After all, it is quite clear he is abiding the messages of Allah that I have noted above. For the academic readers, the fact of the matter is that we need to decide, if we should follow the Quran the way it was written hundreds of years back, or actually sit down with the Muslim scholars and re-write the Quran in the present situation or context.
Historically, Muslims, Jews and Christians have been in war since the existence of time. It has always been about power and dominance. Christians tried to dominate the 3rd world through humanitarian needs, Muslims tried to dictate through the principles of Quran and the Jews endeavored to create an invisible presence through monetary relations.
In this generation, Bin Laden is at war in the name of Allah. And Bush, in the name of evil. It seems the Muslims have a rebirth of the prophet and the Christians have a resurrection of Jesus. And history is repeating yet again in the name of religion, killing innocent people. We need to either rewrite the Quran and put an end to all this rubbish or leave religion where it belongs. Spiritually.
